Tasting Notes

  • Nose – Molasses and toffee sweetness.

  • Palate – Brown butter and dried fruits like dates and raisins.

  • Finish – Short finish with honey and toasted oak notes.

Food Pairing – Sticky Toffee Pudding

  • This was a light, sweet bomb, so Katie and I wanted to pair it with a rich dessert. What immediately came to mind was sticky toffee pudding, a desert we had during our trip to London in 2024. The rich toffee and brown sugar echoed the molasses notes on the nose, while the soft, cake-like texture and buttery sauce pulled out the dried fruit and brown butter on the palate. A touch of warm spice paired nicely with the honey finish.

Nav and Katie’s Thoughts

  • I’ve tasted a lot of Dark Arts bottles over the last couple of years, including some really impressive Buff Turkey releases, but this single barrel from Taste Select Repeat is surprisingly the first one I’ve actually owned—and it did not disappoint. Katie and I both loved this pour. It’s sweet, approachable, and incredibly easy to enjoy, while still offering enough depth to keep things interesting.
