Tasting Notes

  • Nose - Fresh and bright with stone fruit and mint.

  • Palate – Peach rings, orange zest, and vanilla.

  • Finish – Lingering rye spice with light oak.

Food Pairing - Peach Cobbler

  • After her first sip of this bourbon, Katie immediately said, “This tastes like peach rings.” I’d never had peach rings myself, but I could see what she meant — there’s a candy-like fruitiness that really stands out. We both agreed this pour felt best suited for dessert, and after talking it through, we landed on peach cobbler. The warm peach filling and buttery crust mirror the bourbon’s peach and vanilla notes, while the hint of rye spice cuts through the sweetness just enough. If you want something a little less sweet, a spiced apple tart would be a great fit too.

Nav and Katie’s Thoughts

  • When Katie and I tried Dragon’s Milk Origin, we both stopped for a second — it definitely wasn’t what we expected. This pour has a little funk to it, but in a good way. The nose leans herbal and bright — almost Manhattan-like — but the palate brings out sweeter peach and citrus notes that feel closer to an Old Fashioned. It’s not your typical oak-heavy pour — it’s lighter, easy to drink, and has its own thing going on.
