Tasting Notes

  • Nose – Honey, roasted pecan, praline, beignet.

  • Palate – Honey continues on the palate, layered with cinnamon, brown sugar, and crème brûlée sweetness.

  • Finish – Medium length, finishing with honey, oak, and a touch of maple.

Food Pairing – Pecan Pie

  • Pecan pie felt like a natural match for this pour. The roasted pecan and praline notes on the nose lined up perfectly with the filling, while the honey, brown sugar, and crème brûlée sweetness on the palate mirrored the pie’s richness. The oak and maple on the finish helped keep the pairing from feeling too sweet, tying everything together nicely.

Nav and Katie’s Thoughts

  • Honey finishes can be hit or miss for me, but this one really stood out. Even though the honey note carries from nose to finish, it never overwhelms the pour. Katie and I both appreciated how balanced it felt, with the rest of the bourbon’s character coming through just as clearly. At $70, the value here is hard to beat, and it’s one of those bottles I wish I had grabbed multiples of when I had the chance.
